Men's Tennis Athlete of the Week
Steven Moneke, Ohio State
Jr., Alten-Busick, Germany / Gesamtschale Gissen-Ost

Moneke helped lead Ohio State to three more dual wins last week, shutting out each of its opponents to improve the Buckeyes' record to 18-1 on the year.  Against Coastal Carolina, the junior teamed with Brian Koniecko to earn an 8-5 win at No. 2 Doubles.  Moneke then defeated John Hairston in straight sets, 6-1, 6-0, at No. 2.  Against the Citadel, Moneke and Koniecko won again at No. 2 Doubles, and Moneke won his No. 2 Singles match over Yufo Sutantio, 6-3, 6-1.  To end the week, Moneke and Koniecko took down Virginia Commonwealth's Thibaut Charron and Stepan Siska in convincing fashion, defeating the duo, 8-1.  The Alten-Busick, Germany, native finished his perfect weekend with a No. 1 Singles win over VCU's Damien Lacombe again in straight sets, 6-1, 6-4.  This is Moneke's second career weekly honor.
