Five Big Ten Women's Tennis Teams to Compete in 2008 NCAA Championships



Northwestern's Maria Mosolova, this year's Big Ten Athlete of the Year, is one of five conference inidividuals to compete in the singles bracket of the NCAA Championships.

The 2008 NCAA Women's Tennis Championships bracket was announced earlier this week.  Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Northwestern and Ohio State are all part of the 64 team field.  NU, currently ranked No. 1 in the country is also the top seed in the event.  In addition, five Big Ten athletes will compete in the singles competition, and one conference doubles pair will participate in the doubles portion.  First second rounds will take place May 9-11.
