Edwards recorded the nation's fourth-fastest time in the 800-meter run at Eastern Michigan last weekend, winning the event with a time of 2:04.81.  The senior's mark far exceeded the regional qualifying standard by over five seconds and stands as a new personal-best.  The Winnipeg, Manitoba, native garners her second career outdoor weekly honor.

Women's Field Athlete of the Week

Liz Roehrig, Minnesota

At the Kansas Relays, Roehrig smashed her own school record in the heptathlon with a winning score of 5,740.  While competing in the multi-event, the junior gopher also broke the high jump school record, clearing 6-0 (1.83).  Both of her records met the Olympic Trials B Standard and the NCAA regional qualifying mark.  Her heptathlon total currently ranks second in the country and was 10 points shy of the Olympic A Standard.  Roehrig takes home her third career outdoor Field Athlete of the Week laurel.
