IRVING, Texas -- Luke Anders (Texas A&M) and Brad Hutt (Kansas State) have been named the Phillips 66 Big 12 Baseball Player and Pitcher of the Week, respectively, for games of April 21-27 in voting by a media panel. Anders receives the first weekly accolade of his career while Hutt is honored for the third time.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Junior Luke Anders hit .467 to guide Texas A&M to a 4-0 week, including a three-game sweep of No. 4 Missouri. He hit two home runs, drove in five and scored four runs while getting hit by one pitch and drawing three walks. In addition, he posted a .867 slugging percentage, a .579 on-base percentage and was perfect in the field in 25 attempts at first base. Anders' two homers in last Saturday's victory was his second multi-home run game of 2008.
PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Brad Hutt, Kansas State, RHP, Sr., 6-3, 213, Papillion, Neb./LaVista
Hutt pitched 8.0 innings, allowing just one earned run, a walk and three strikeouts in Kansas State's first home win against Texas in over 10 years (March 22, 1998). He also retired 16-of-17 batters and recorded a 0.82 ERA in last Saturday's contest. Hutt extended his K-State career record for innings pitched to 300.2 while moving within three victories from tying the school career mark for wins.
