Feb. 27, 2008

A women's basketball student-athlete from each Big 12 team will be featured on www.Big12Sports.com every week throughout the 2007-08 season. This week's Q&A is with Jamie Boyd of Kansas.

Jamie Boyd, Kansas, F, Sr, Underwood, Iowa

Q:   What is your fondest memory of playing at your University?

A:   Beating Texas to go 12 -0 in Allen Field house my sophomore year.

Q:   What was your favorite road trip?

A:   When we traveled to Australia last summer.

Q:   What is the funniest thing that has happened to you or a teammate during your college career?

A:   Too many to choose just one.

Q:   Do you have any game-day superstitions?

A:   Not really

Q:   What has been your favorite class in college so far?

A:   I really liked my gender communication and interpersonal communication classes.

Q:   In five years I'll be...

A:   Working at a job I love hopefully.

Q:   What poster did you have on your bedroom wall when you were a kid and why?

A:   "You miss a hundred percent of the shots that you don't take," my only poster on the back of my door.

Q:   Everyone has that `freshman moment' their first few days on campus where they aren't really sure how to do things. What was yours?

A:   I remember I did not know where to do my homework,  so I just sat in one of my coaches' officices and did my homework in there.

Q:   If you could get front row tickets to any sporting event, now or in the past, what would it be?

A:   I really wanted to go to the KU vs. Missouri football game, but we were playing in Dallas.

Q:   What is your best non-athletic talent?

A:   Considering my life has revolved around athletics, this question is very hard to answer. I would say that I like to cook and even clean when I have time.

Q:   If you could swap places with anyone for a day, who would it be and why?

A:   Bonnie (Henrickson), and see what a day at practice would be like from her perspective.
