BOSTON - After placing first in the shot put Saturday at the Terrier Invitational, junior Jan Bicanic (Zagreb, Croatia) has been named the GoTerriers.com Student-Athlete of the Week. Bicanic's 15.53m throw edged out the next closest competitor by .16m.

Bicanic, a transfer student from McNeese State University in Lake Charles, La., finished atop the 43 competitor field, which included freshman Dan Withrow, (14.76m, 5), senior Dan Martin (14.11m, 7) and sophomores Logan Moore (12.66m, 18) and Chase Carnahan (12.03m, 25).

Both the men's and women's track teams will compete at the Boston City Invitational on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Harvard's Gordon Track.
