BOSTON - Sophomore Kaitlyn Mardeusz has been named the GoTerriers.com Student-Athlete of the Week after shooting a 79 on day two to help lift the Boston University golf team into first place at the Jack Leaman Women's Championship over the weekend.

Mardeusz (86-79--165) sat in a four-way tie for ninth place after the first round of competition on Saturday, but after improving by seven strokes on day two the Novi, Mich., native finished third overall.

On Friday, May 2 BU will return to action to defend its America East championship in Simsbury, Conn. The three-day event will conclude on Sunday, May 4.
