BOSTON - The Boston University men's basketball team looks for a season sweep as it heads north to face New Hampshire on Saturday, Feb. 2 at 4 p.m. The Terriers (6-14, 3-5 America East) are coming off a 56-49 win at Maine on Wednesday, while the Wildcats (7-13, 4-4 AE) hope to keep a two-game win streak alive when the teams face off on NESN this weekend.

The Terriers hold a commanding 97-36 advantage in the all-time series and have won 46 of the last 51 games played, including an 82-72 win earlier this season. The rivalry started in 1908-09 with UNH taking 17 of the first 19 contests, but starting in 1936-37, BU won 94 of the next 111 (.847). In the earlier meeting this year, sophomore guard Corey Lowe (Newton, Mass.) scored BU's first 12 points on four consecutive 3-pointers, and the Terriers never trailed after that en route to a home victory.

New Hampshire has won three of its last four games since losing 11 of 12. The Wildcats are looking to keep a two-game win streak going, having defeated Hartford and Stony Brook in their last two outings. UNH has four in double figures, led by Tyrece Gibb's 14.4 ppg. Eric Gilchrese is the only reserve with more than 10 ppg (11.5). Dane DiLiegro's 6.3 rpg are tops for the Wildcats.

Lowe is BU's leading scorer with 17.9 ppg. He returned to action against Maine on Jan. 30 after missing three games with a knee problem. Red-shirt sophomore Tyler Morris (Indianapolis, Ind.) and freshman John Holland (Bronx, N.Y.) have come on lately for the Terriers. Holland had 15 points and seven rebounds in the victory over Maine, while Morris was the team's leader on defense - holding UM's second-leading scorer to five points and claiming five of BU's 11 team steals.

Sophomore forward Scott Brittain led all scorers with a career-best 20 points against the Black Bears. Boston University got off to a fast start and held off Maine down the stretch for the win. BU began the game on a 16-5 run, creating turnovers and forcing Maine into five straight empty possessions as the Black Bears went scoreless for almost five minutes. The Terriers went into the half leading, and despite UM tying the game three times in the second half, BU stayed strong for the win. Mark Socoby led the Black Bears with 19 points, and Junior Bernal followed with 10 points.
