BOSTON - The Boston University men's basketball team looks to avenge an earlier loss when the Terriers (9-14, 6-5 America East) take the trip up to Vermont on Thursday, Feb. 14 to face the Catamounts (12-11, 7-4 AE) at 8 p.m. on NESN. BU comes into Thursday's contest on a four-game win streak.

Boston University has a 50-37 lead in the all-time series. The Terriers dominated the rivalry from 1984 to 1992, winning 17 straight games. But Vermont has won the last four consecutive match-ups (two by three or fewer points). The Catamounts have not had a stretch where they have been the dominant team, but UVM is 21-13 since BU went on its run and has won 13 of the last 20 games.

Vermont has lost two of its last three match-ups after a five-game win streak was snapped by a 75-73 loss to UMBC on Feb. 2. Six of the Catamounts' 11 losses have been by seven or fewer points. UVM is currently tied for second in the conference with Hartford. Marqus Blakely is the team's leading scorer (18.9) and rebounder (9.9). Mike Trimboli is second on the team with 18.6 ppg.

Sophomore guard Corey Lowe (Newton, Mass.) leads the Terrier offense with 18.1 ppg. Carlos Strong (Portland, Maine) posts 11.1 ppg to be the second BU player in double figures, while Brittain is the team's leading rebounder with 6.0 rpg. Reigning America East Rookie of the Week John Holland (Bronx, N.Y.) has picked up his play during the conference season and averages 13.6 ppg and 7.4 rpg in league games

The Terriers picked up their fourth-straight win with a 79-53 victory at home against Binghamton on Feb. 12. Holland led all players with a career-high 25 points. Binghamton took an early lead, but Holland scored seven consecutive points to give the Terriers a lead they didn't give up. BU held Binghamton scoreless from the floor for the first five minutes of the second half as the Terriers built a double-digit advantage the Bearcats never seriously threatened.
