CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Boston University freshman John Holland (Bronx, N.Y.) received his fifth straight America East Rookie of the Week nod on Monday afternoon, the conference office announced. Holland poured in an America East season-high 38 points in a 97-66 win over Hartford on Wednesday en route to earning his sixth overall honor.

The rookie, who also grabbed 11 rebounds for his third career double-double, scored 19 of those points in the first half, including his team's first 10. Holland shot 14-of-22 (.636) from the floor and canned four 3-pointers. Against Albany on Sunday, Holland scored nine points, grabbed six rebounds and made a pair of steals.

He shot 17-for-35 from the floor (.486) to average 23.5 ppg and 8.5 rpg last week. Holland is averaging 19.4 points and 7.0 rebounds over his last eight games.

The Terriers (13-16) play Albany in the opening round of the America East conference tournament on March 8 at 8:30 p.m. in Vestal, N.Y.
