BOSTON - For the second consecutive year, Boston University alumnus Anthony Mullin (CAS '06) will row in the three seat of Oxford University's Isis boat, the university's second eight in the 154th annual Boat Race on March 29, 2008 at 11:15 a.m. EST.

Mullin and the rest of Isis will race against Cambridge's second boat, Goldie.

Mullin, a native of Leeds, England, received a bachelor's in Psychology upon graduation from BU and is studying for a MSc in Research in Psychology at St. Catherines at Oxford.

The Boat Race was begun in 1829 when Cambridge challenged Oxford, and the next year started the tradition of the loser of the previous year's race issuing a challenge for a rematch. The race takes place over a grueling distance of 4.25 miles on the heavily tidal River Thames between Putney and Mortlake and attracts over 250,000 spectators on Race Day.

Cambridge currently leads the series 79-73 (with one dead heat) after defeating Oxford last year.
