DENVER, Colo. - Junior defenseman Matt Gilroy was named to the RBK All-America First Team, while senior forwards Bryan Ewing and Pete MacArthur earned second-team honors, as was announced on Friday by the American Hockey Coaches Association. Gilroy is the only player in the nation to earn All-America accolades in each of the past two seasons.

Gilroy, a second-team All-America pick last year as a sophomore, recorded 21 points on six goals and 15 assists in addition to a plus-17 rating this season. He was named the top defenseman in New England and also became the first blueliner in 11 years to earn back-to-back Hockey East First-Team All-Star honors.

MacArthur and Ewing earned All-America accolades for the first time in their stellar careers, as the senior duo ranked 1-2 on the team in scoring with 45 (21g, 24a) and 43 (17g, 26a) points, respectively.

All three were named to the New England Division I All-Star Team in addition to the Hockey East All-Star First Team.

The Terriers made up a quarter of the 12 honorees from the East. New Hampshire had a nation-high four All-Americans, while Colorado College was the only other school to have three. BU also had three All-Americans last year, as this marks the first time in 10 years that the Terriers have had three honorees in back-to-back seasons.
