BOSTON - Junior Allyse Wilcox was named to the New England Division I Women's All-Star team and head coach Brian Durocher was honored as the region's Coach of the Year, as was announced by the New England Hockey Writers Association Thursday.

Wilcox was the Terriers' primary goaltender this season, starting 26 games in goal and earning a 12-12-2 record. The Grand Blanc, Mich., native ended the season ranked seventh nationally in save percentage (.925) and ninth in goals against average (1.96). She was also named a Hockey East First-Team All-Star last month.

Coach Durocher earns the award after leading BU to its first playoff appearance since becoming a varsity program for the 2005-06 season. Hockey East's Coach of the Year led helped the Terriers to a 15-17-3 record this season, falling to first-seeded New Hampshire in the Hockey East Semifinals.

Durocher and Wilcox will be honored at the New England Hockey Writers' banquet, which will be held on April 16. More information on the event is available through the Northwestern Athletic Ticket Office (617-373-7409).
