BOSTON - The Boston University women's soccer team will travel to New Haven, Conn., for a 7:00 p.m. contest with Yale on Tuesday evening. The Terriers enter the match with a 3-4-1 overall record, while Yale stands at 3-4-0. Tuesday's match will be the BU's final non-conference game before they open conference action on Sunday, Sept. 30 vs. Vermont.

The Terriers and Bulldogs rekindled the series last year in an overtime BU win at Nickerson Field. Sophomore Farrell McClernon (West Chester, Pa.) netted the game winner just seven minutes into the extra stanza to give the Terriers the 2-1 victory. Prior to the 2006 meeting, the two teams had not played each other since the 1999 campaign, when BU defeated Yale 1-0. The first meeting came in 1998 in a 1-0 Yale win.

McClernon currently leads the offense with two goals, while red-shirt freshman Janie Reilly (Coral Springs, Fla.) has been a mainstay in net. The defense has been tough, holding opponents to six goals in the first eight games.

Reilly was recently honored as a Co-Rookie of the Week after starting both games in net last week, recording a 1-0-1 record and a .917 save percentage. Reilly picked up her second career shutout in the Terriers' 1-0 win over Brown and then turned in a six-save performance against Minnesota on Friday. She currently leads the conference in goals against average (0.38) and save percentage (.917). On the national level, Reilly sits in 16th in GAA and 14th in save percentage.

For Yale, Maggie Westfall and freshman Becky Brown lead the Bulldogs in goals (3) and points (7). Westfall was named to the Ivy League Honor Roll this week after scoring the game winner against Central Connecticut and adding a goal against Sacred Heart last week.

Goalkeeper Susan Starr leads the Ivy League in GAA (0.57) and save percentage (.905). Starr has been sharing netminding duties with Ayana Sumiyasu, who currently owns a .731 save percentage.

Following tonight's match up the Terriers will open their conference slate with Vermont on Sunday, Sept. 30 at 1:00 p.m.
