Women's Tennis Wins Second Straight Match, 6-1.

BOSTON - The Boston University women's tennis team (5-2, 2-0 America East) won their second match in a row, defeating rival Stony Brook (0-4, 0-0 AE), 6-1, on Sunday, March 2, at the Track and Tennis Center. For the fourth time this season the Terriers swept the doubles points from their opponents. Junior Cori Lefkowith (Clayton, Mo.) was one of four BU players to win her singles match in straight sets. Lefkowith defeated Stony Brook's Sandy Wijeratne, 6-0, 6-0. BU returns to action Tuesday March 11, when the team takes on Florida International in Miami, Fla. at 2 p.m. Doubles 1 Francine Whu/Vanessa Steiner (BU) def.
