BOSTON - The Boston University women's tennis team handed cross-town rival Boston College a 4-3 loss Wednesday afternoon at Harvard's outdoor courts. This win marked the Terriers' first victory over the Eagles since 2002.

BC took an early lead by picking up the doubles point with wins at the first and third spots. Sophomore Liz Corrao and junior Yana Sadovskaya nearly pulled off the win at third doubles, but they fell to Lana Krasnopolsky and Gia Nafarrete, 9-8. However, the Terriers rebounded and edged the Eagles in singles, claiming victories at first, fourth, fifth and sixth singles.

The Terriers return to action on Saturday, April 12 when they play at Quinnipiac at noon.
