James awarded America East Women's Field Performer of the Week

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - After capturing first place in both the long jump and triple jump last weekend at the Battle of Beantown, senior Tahari James was named the America East Women's Field Performer of the Week, as was announced by the league office Tuesday.

With jumps of 6.02m in the long jump and 12.66m in the triple jump, James helped the Terriers to a second-place finish at the Battle of Beantown at Harvard's Gordon Track Saturday. James also took third place in the 60m dash with a 7.72 time.

Last week, James placed 11th in the 55m dash with a 7.32 time and was a member of Boston University's 4x400 team that finished eighth with a 3:57.41 mark at the Terrier Invitational.

The Terriers next face competition at the Valentine Invitational, with the women competing on Friday, Feb. 8 at 1:00 p.m. and the men on Saturday, Feb. 9 at 9:00 a.m. Both events will be held at Boston University's Track and Tennis Center.
