METAIRIE, La. - Senior Marisa Ryan was named the top Northeast women's indoor track and field athlete by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association, as was announced by the conference Tuesday.

Ryan will compete at the NCAA indoor track and field championship this weekend in Fayetteville, Ark., at the end of an impressive season. The senior helped the Boston University women's indoor track and field team to its third consecutive America East title, placing first in both the 3000m and mile run at the conference championship to win Track Athlete of the Meet.Among her numerous accomplishments, Ryan has been named the America East Scholar of the Year each of the past two seasons.
