The newest member of the Bears' coaching staff is Glenn Gorden, who comes to Brown from University of Denver, where he played for former Brown lacrosse standout Jamie Munro `89. A 2003 graduate of Denver, where he earned a B.S. degree in Real Estate Construction Management, Gorden was a defenseman for the Pioneers for three years. As an undergraduate, he assumed a mentoring and leadership role with his fellow teammates, participated in team volunteer events and coordinated efforts to raise money for the program. Gorden gained valuable coaching experience at Denver as an assistant coach in 2006. At Denver, he had practice duties as well as working with camps and clinics. A native of Yarmouth, Maine, who attended Yarmouth High School and Deerfield Academy, Gorden has worked at various lacrosse camps, including the Running Black Bear lacrosse Camp in Yarmouth, Maine, and the Run & Shoot lacrosse Camp at the University of Denver and Roger Williams University. He currently resides in Providence, Rhode Island. |
