Dates and Times Set for Bucknell Baseball's PL Championship Series at Navy

May 12, 2008

LEWISBURG, Pa. - The dates and times have been set for the best-of-three Patriot League baseball championship series as Bucknell will vie for its fourth Patriot League title this Friday and Saturday, May 16-17, against Navy in Annapolis, Md. Game one between the No. 4-seeded Bison and the No. 2-seeded Midshipmen is slated to begin at 3 p.m. on Friday, while the teams will play game two on Saturday, beginning at noon, with the third contest schedule for 30 minutes following the conclusion of game two, if necessary.

Bucknell fans that are unable to attend will be able to follow the Bison's quest for a championship as live audio broadcasts will be available through BucknellBison.com and SportsJuice.com.

Doug Birdsong, Bucknell's coordinator of radio, television, marketing and promotions, as well as the lead play-by-play voice of the Bison Sports Network, will serve as the play-by-play voice for all broadcasts, which will begin approximately 15 minutes prior to first pitch.

Bucknell advanced to the Patriot League championship by upsetting the tournament's No. 1 seed, Army, this past weekend in West Point, N.Y. The Bison took the series, 2-1, after posting a 1-0 two-hit shutout of the Black Knights in the deciding third game of the semifinal series.
