IRVINE, Calif. - Freshman Haley Prickett (Newport Beach, Calif./Corona del Mar) tallied a team-high four goals, while classmate Kandis Canonica (Burlingame, Calif./St. Ignatius Prep) registered six points on two goals and four assists to help the Bucknell women's water polo team to a 12-7 victory at Concordia (Calif.) Monday afternoon. The win was the eighth straight victory for the Bison, who will play a total of seven games on their Spring Break trip to California.

Another freshman, Whitney Allen (Hillsborough, Calif./Menlo), scored one goal for Bucknell, which received a total of seven goals and four assists from its freshman class.

Veterans also contributed to the victory with junior Aubrey Rowe (Carlisle, Pa./Cumberland Valley) netting three goals and one assist and senior captain Meagan Gins (Albuquerque, N.M./Valley) tallying one goal and three assists. She increased her career assist total to 95, putting her alone in third place in Bison history.

Alison Carter (Costa Mesa, Calif./Newport Harbor) started in goal for Bucknell and made six saves while allowing two goals. Carter now has 101 saves this season. Rachel McGillis (Los Altos, Calif./Los Altos) played the second half and yielded five goals while making four saves.

The Bison, who improved to 14-2 with the victory, jumped out to a 6-2 halftime lead and easily won by their five-goal margin. Bucknell's eight consecutive wins are one shy of the program record.

Bison leading scorer Valentina Rozas (Pico Rivera, Calif./El Rancho) saw her 17-game goal scoring streak come to an end as she was saddled with foul trouble much of the contest.

Bucknell, which is ranked 19th nationally, will face its fourth ranked opponent of the season Wednesday, March 12, when it plays at No. 11 Loyola Marymount. Game time is 6 p.m. (Eastern).
