Men's Basketball Player Elliot Engelmann To Transfer From Butler

March 31, 2008

Sophomore Elliot Engelmann has announced his intention to leave the Butler men's basketball program and seek a transfer to another school. No future destination for the second-year player was mentioned.

"Elliot requested and was granted a release from our program," said Butler head coach Brad Stevens. "We wish him nothing but the best in the future, and we are grateful for his two years here."

Engelmann, a 6-6 forward from Downers Grove, Ill., saw limited action in 11 games for the nationally-ranked Bulldogs this past season, and he scored just one three-point field goal. He played in 15 games as a freshman, averaging 0.5 points.
