Bulldogs Fall To No. 27 Badgers, 7-0
Jan. 26, 2008
Madison, Wis. - The Butler men's tennis team's challenging early season schedule continued on Saturday (Jan. 26) at No. 27 Wisconsin, as the Badgers claimed a 7-0 decision over the Bulldogs at the Nielsen Tennis Stadium. After sweeping the doubles matches to claim the first point of the match, Wisconsin tallied victories in all six singles bouts. Freshman Brandon Bayliss put up the best showing at No. 4 singles, falling in a close 7-6 (3) opening set before rallying for a 6-3 second-set win over Peter Marrack. Bayliss' efforts would come up just short, however, as Marrack hung on for a 10-8 match-clinching win in the third set. Butler returns to action on Sunday (Jan. 27) when they take on Purdue beginning at 1:00 p.m. Doubles
