Bulldogs Place Ninth In North South Women's Collegiate

Jacksonville, Fla. - The Butler women's golf team opened up the 2008 spring season at the North South Women's Collegiate on March 10 and 11, combining for a team score of 654. Lauren Showers led the Bulldogs with an 80-77--157 for a 15th-place tie. The Bulldogs found themselves in fifth after carding a 322 on the first day of play, but a final round of 332 dropped Butler into its final ninth-place standing. Paige McCracken finished just one stroke behind Showers, tallying an 80-78--158 for a 19th-place tie, while Lynnsey Showers added an 81-86--166 for a 30th-place tie. The Bulldogs return to action on March 24 when they open the Butler Spring Invitational.
