UTEP senior Mickael Hanany was selected the Conference USA Men's Track and Field Athlete of the Week on Tuesday.

Hanany finished second in the high jump special with an NCAA regional qualifying clearance of 2.26m (7-5) at the Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa on Saturday.

He currently leads the nation, Midwest Region and the league in the event with a clearance of 2.31m (7-7).

It marks the fourth time a UTEP student-athlete has been recognized by C-USA during the outdoor season, and it is the second honor for Hanany this year.
