IRVING, Texas - Tulsa improved to 16-3 last week with wins over league foe Memphis and Hawai'i. The Golden Hurricane are still ranked in the Top 15 in the latest ITA rankings, coming in at No. 12. TU will face league rival and No. 19 Rice on Wednesday in a pivotal C-USA battle.

Tulsa's Victor Kolik is this week's Conference USA Men's Tennis Player of the Week after going 2-0 in both singles and doubles as Tulsa downed Hawai'i and league foe Memphis. Kolik is now 9-3 this spring, 5-1 at the No. 2 position.

MEN'S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK (4/1)
VICTOR KOLIK - Tulsa
Fr., Tiberias, Israel (Hof HaSharon)

Kolik went 2-0 in both singles and doubles in Tulsa's home matches against confernce foe Memphis and Hawai`i. In TU's 7-0 victory over Memphis, Kolik defeated Leon Nasemann, 6-2, 6-1, in the No. 2 position. In doubles action,the duo of Kolik and partner Alberto Sottocorno beat Spencer Heflin / Jordan Smith, 8-4. Against Hawai`i, Kolik downed No. 113 Andreas Weber, 3-6, 6-0, 6-4, in Tulsa's 5-2 victory. His doubles pairing also won, beating Spence Mendoza / Craig Faulk, 8-2. Kolik is now 9-3 on the season in singles and 9-4 in doubles. This is the first career weekly honor for Kolik.

WEEKLY AWARDS
Conference USA will name a male and female tennis Athlete of the Week throughout the regular season. The weekly accolades are selected by the media relations department and announced every Tuesday throughout the season.

Skrypko won his seventh and eighth-straight matches last week, as he defeated No. 102 David Galic of No. 18 Baylor and Leon Nasemann of Memphis on Saturday. Both wins came at No. 2 singles. He split in doubles action with partner Adolfo Solares.

MARKUS WESSINGHATE - Southern Miss

Wessingate finished the week with a perfect 4-0 record in singles, playing three matches at the No. 5 spot and one at the No. 3. He finished with a 3-1 record in doubles, playing at Nos. 1 and 2. He defeted all of his singles opponents in straight sets and has won his last six singles matches.
