IRVING, Texas - Tulsa's Michaela Cavener and UCF's Stephanie Connelly share the Women's Golfer of the Week award. Cavener carded rounds of 74-70-73 for a 217 total to finish in second place at the Samford University Women's Intercollegiate. Her efforts helped the Golden Hurricane capture the team title. Connelly set career bests for 18 and 54-hole scores en route to a fourth-place finish at the LSU/Cleveland Golf Classic. Connelly notched rounds of 73-70-73 against a field with six of the nations' top 30 teams.

MICHAELA CAVENER - Tulsa

Cavener carded rounds of 74-70-73 for a 217 total to finish in second place at the Samford University Women's Intercollegiate in a field of 84 golfers at the Limestone Spring Golf Course in Oneonta, Alabama. It was her seventh top-20 finish of the season and her fifth among the top-10. She led Tulsa to its second tournament title in the last three events. The Hurricane carded rounds of 290-291-303 and finished with a 20-over par 884 score, 17 strokes better than second-place Tennessee-Chattanooga It's the second tournament victory for the Hurricane in the last three events, as Tulsa claimed the tournament title at the Kitahara Fresno State Invitational in February. This is the sixth career weekly honor for the two-time All-Conference USA performer, her fourth nod in 2007-08 (Sept. 19, Oct. 10, Oct. 31).
STEPHANIE CONNELLY - UCF

Connelly set career bests for 18 and 54-hole scores en route to a fourth-place finish at the LSU/Cleveland Golf Classic. Competing against a field with six of the nations' top 30 teams, the junior finished the tournament with an even-par score of 216. She ranked second in the 90-player field for birdies made during the three-round event with 13, including registering five in each of her first two rounds. In Saturday's second round, Connelly carded a 70 (-2), which included a stretch of three-consecutive holes where she made birdie. Her 70 (-2) was the lowest 18-hole of her UCF career and lowest round by a Knight this season. The weekly award is the second of Connelly's career, as she also earned the honor on Oct. 24, 2007.

East Carolina's Emelie Lind was named March 12 Conference USA Golfer-of-the-Week for the second time this year after finishing second at the 2008 Pinehurst Challenge in Pinehurst, N.C... The Kungsangen, Sweden native recorded her fourth top-five finish and sixth top-20 placement when she finished four strokes out of first place with a five-over par 221 (75-74-72)... Lind recorded 37 pars on the weekend, which led the tournament field, and ranked third in par-4 scoring (+5) and tied for fifth in par-5 scoring (-1)... Lind has recorded six top-10 finishes and 14 top-20's in her career...Lind helped the Pirates (89-14-0), who are nationally ranked 20th by Golfweek, 28th by Golf World and 29th by Golfstat, to their fifth consecutive team title and sixth in seven events this season... The Lady Pirates will be back on the links March 29-30 when they travel to Tucson, Ariz. to participate in the Mountainview Collegiate.
MARSHALL
Marshall wrapped up its first tournament of the spring season on March 11, finishing 22nd in the Pinehurst Challenge... The Herd shot 964 (+130) for the tournament... Molly Ginger led the Herd with a three-round total of 246, which was tied for 89th overall... Larie Lynch finished two strokes behind Ginger, with a 248, good for 93rd... In the third round, Andrea Grier led Marshall with an 80. That tied Lynch's second-round total for MU's lowest round... The total was a 54-hole team record for the tournament... The team returns to the links March 22-23 at the First Market Intercollegiate in Williamsburg, Va.
MEMPHIS
Memphis is tied for eighth after day one of the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational hosted by the University of Hawaii... The Tigers shot a 318 as team in the opening round. Memphis is tied with Wyoming at 634... Rachel Larson is the top Tiger on the leader board... The junior is tied for 28th... Freshman Alexa Porter is tied for 34th. Porter had the lowest second round score among Tigers with a 78... The Tigers will conclude play in the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational with round three on Wednesday.
SMU
SMU is in 13th place following 18 holes at the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational at the University of Texas Golf Club... SMU carded a 35-over 323, but is just six shots back from sixth place... Individually, Laura Cross paced the `Stangs with a 78 to tie for 19th... Lacey Jones is 33rd at 80, while Paige Martin is 52nd at 82... Inclement weather conditions canceled the second round of the event... The tournament will be shortened to 36 holes with the final 18-hole round set to begin Wednesday morning.
SOUTHERN MISS
Southern Miss shot a final round 313 to tie for ninth place at the Gainesville Shootout III in Gainesville, Fla... It was the second straight top 10 finish for the Lady Eagles. They finished second at the USA Jaguar Invitational... Sophomore Samantha Holt finished in a tie for 21st after a closing round 79.. . Freshman Virginia Espejo shot a 75 to tie for 24th-place... Freshman Jennifer Judge shot an 87 to tie for 54th-place... Southern Miss returns to action April 7-8 when it hosts the Lady Eagle Invitational at Canebrake Golf Club.
TULSA

The Hurricane carded a final round 303 and finished with a 20-over par 884 score, 17 strokes better than second-place Tennessee-Chattanooga at the Limestone Spring Golf Course... It's the second tournament victory for the Hurricane in the last three events, as Tulsa claimed the tournament title at the Kitahara Fresno State Invitational in February... Tulsa has not won two tournament crowns in the same season since the 2002-03 campaign... UCF concluded play at the LSU/Cleveland Golf Classic in a tie for 10th place on Sunday as the three-day event came to a close on the University Golf Club... The Knights were led by junior Stephanie Connelly for the third-straight day as she finished fourth overall with a three-round total of 216 (E)... For Connelly, the 54-hole score was the lowest of her career as she carded a 73 (+1) in her final 18 holes of the tournament... She led the Knights with 14 birdies in the tournament as UCF posted a three-round total of 914... For her efforts, Connelly was named Co-C-USA Women's Golfer of the Week.

UTEP is in fifth place through 36 holes of the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational in Honolulu... The Miners completed a round of 320 on Tuesday to lift their two-day total to 623.. UTEP's Rosana Gomez is tied for 14th place (74-79-153)... Deborah Martinez is 24th (76-79-155)... Samantha Garza is tied for 25th (75-81-156)...
