A right-handed transfer from Long Beach State who will be a key to the Bears' pitching staff, either as a closer or top set-up man...throws in the high 80s to low 90s with a curveball, slider and change-up.

HIGH SCHOOL/PERSONAL: At Woodcreek High School was a two-time all-league selection and a 2006 Puma Preseason All-American...batted .436 with 11 doubles and four home runs as a senior...on the mound was 2-3 with a 4.63, leading the league with 57 strikeouts in 39.1 innings...as a junior had 29 strikeouts in 22.2 innings...finished his high school career with a .388 average, striking out only four times in 100 at-bats...undeclared major...parents are Jim and Debra Wolford...born August 19, 1988 in Sacramento, Calif.
