With 21 points, Ryan Anderson moved into a tie with Michael Chavez for 22nd on Cal's career scoring list with 1,162 points.

Anderson also grabbed a team-high eight rebounds and now has 288 on the year, most for a Cal player since Mark McNamara had 341 in 1982.

Anderson has scored 623 points this season, the fifth-highest total in school history.

Cal played without senior center DeVon Hardin, who strained a hip flexor in Thursday's game at USC. His loss left the Bears with just eight available scholarship players.

Jamal Boykin tied his career with with 18 points, a total he also reached vs. Long Beach State on Dec. 28.

Cal shot 56.0 percent from the floor (28-50), its second-highest rate of the year and highest in a Pac-10 game. The Bears were 13-for-20 from the field in the second half (65.0%).

The Bears were 19-for-21 from the free throw line (90.5%), raising their season average to 78.3 percent. Cal entered the game third in the country in free throw shooting.

UCLA converted on 54% of its possessions (38 of 70) with 42% in the first half (14 of 33) and 65% in the second half (24 of 37). California also converted on 54% of their possessions, with 50% in the first half (17 of 34) and 57% in the second half (20 of 35).
