BERKELEY - Bozhidar Katsarov captured his third individual tournament singles title and added a doubles title to his resume as he went 9-0 in all matches at the 2008 Pacific-10 Conference Men's Tennis Championships in Ojai, Calif., to make the freshman the Muscle Milk California Student-Athlete of the Week.
Katsarov defeated Arizona State's Wes Miller 7-6(4), 7-6(7) to claim the Men's Invitational Singles crown and later teamed with fellow freshman Jonathan Dahan to defeat USC's Jack Levis and Jason McNaughton by an 8-6 count to win the Men's Invitational Doubles crown. Katsarov leads the team in singles wins this season with 34, the highest mark on the team by seven victories.
