BERKELEY - Ashley Walker posted 21 points and 12 rebounds to lead California to a 77-60 victory over San Diego last Saturday in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, giving the Golden Bears their first NCAA Tournament win in 15 years and making the junior forward/center the Muscle Milk California Student-Athlete of the Week.
Walker had 17 points and 11 rebounds in the first half, and finished the game with six assists and three steals in only 26 minutes of playing time. She is the only player in school history to post two double-doubles in NCAA Tournament games.
