BERKELEY - California put 12 Golden Bears on the 2008 Women's Lacrosse Academic All-Mountain Pacific Sports Federation team. Cal tied with Oregon for the second-most student-athletes on the all-conference academic team. Stanford led the way with 15.
The student-athletes were nominated for this award by their institutions on the basis of the following criteria:
1. 3.0 or better cumulative grade point average.
2. Student-athlete must be at least a sophomore academically.
3. Student-athlete must have completed one full academic year at the institution prior to the season for which the award is being received.
4. Student-athlete must have competed in fifty percent or more of the institution's competition in the student-athlete's respective sport.
