Incoming Freshman Stephanie Mutafyan scored two goals as the Cal women's water polo team fell to Hungary 12-5 on Saturday in a Group B Preliminary Round matchup at the World University Games in Kazan, Russia.

The Bears were selected to by USA Water Polo to play as Team USA at this summer's games. Cal was allowed to send a team of 13 players along with head coach Richard Corso and associate head coach Matt Flesher.

Senior Ashley Young and juniors Tiera Schroeder and Missy Hale also scored for the Bears.

Sophomore Kathleen Menz and incoming freshman Kelsey Roland split time at goalie and each made three saves.

Hungary registered 23 shots while the Bears had 19.

Cal's next game will be Monday against France.
