AUGUSTA, Ga. - The Carson-Newman Eagles Baseball Team takes to the field for the first time in 2008 this afternoon in Augusta, Georgia. The Eagles will face Augusta State (Ga.) in a three-series, with a doubleheader on Saturday, before facing Paine on Sunday in a single game. First pitch Friday is at 2:30 p.m. Saturday's doubleheader begins at noon. C-N is fresh off a 36-20 season a year ago, in which the Eagles won the South Atlantic Conference Tournament to advance to NCAAs.
