HOUSTON, TX - Brad Robinson carded a final round five-over, 75 Saturday afternoon to finish tied for 45th in the NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championship at Memorial Park Golf Course. Robinson (Johnson City, Tenn.) turned in a four-day total of 290 (+10),twelve strokes back of South Carolina-Aiken's Jeff Goff, who took individual medalist honors in a playoff after tying with Jude Eustaquio of Florida Southern College with a total of 278. Robinson once again struggled with the front nine, a side he played eight over par for the tournament. He got to even par with a birdie on the par-four fifth, but three bogeys in the next four holes sent him out in 38. The sophomore bogeyed No. 11 and doubled No. 17 before closing out his round with a birdie. A playoff was also needed to decide the national champion in the team competition. In the end, it was the University of West Florida edging North Alabama and St. Edward's University to claim its second title in school history (2001). The three teams each turned in a total of 1129 in regulation. Newberry College, the lone South Atlantic Conference school to qualify for the team competition, finished 19th with a total of 1186.
