JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. - The Carson-Newman Eagles will celebrate the life of the late Roland File in their spring season matchup against University of the Cumberlands on April 29. The C-N men's soccer will honor the memory of one of their former players, Roland File. File was a member of the Eagles nationally ranked squad during the 2006-07 season in which the team celebrated their 4th consecutive conference championship. Son of Donna and Steve File Roland was a very influential member of the eagles program, touching the lives of others in a positive manner. In the spring season of 2007 Carson-Newman campus came to a stand still after the announcement of Roland File's death on February 23 in a fatal car accident. Also back in Rolie's home of Gatlinburg Tennessee, news had shaken the community as he was known and loved by all. The Eagles will go head to head against the University of the Cumberland's to celebrate the life of Roland File. A $2 fee will be charged at the gate which will be put towards the Rolie File memorial lighting fund; a project that was started by his dad in Rolie's honor. The game will take place April 29 at 7:30 p.m. and will certainly be a night to remember.
