Final Stats

Due West, SC---Erskine College lost both games of a double header to Carson Newman Saturday afternoon, losing game one 5-1 and game two 11-1.

The Fleet were led at the plate by Kayla Vinson who was 1-2 and drove in the lone Erskine run, while Courtney Davis was 1-3 with a double. Katee Knapp and Lauren Gunter also had a hit in the loss. Gunter took the loss on the mound, allowing five runs in seven innings and striking out three.

Carson Newman was led on offense by Mandy Stevens who was 2-3 with a home run and two runs batted in, while Amber Palmer was also 2-3 with two RBIs. Zoe Heim picked up the win, allowing just one run in six innings of work and striking out eight.

In game two, Knapp led Erskine on offense going 2-3,while Lindsey LaPrad was 1-2 with a double and RBI and Davis was 1-3 with a double. Kaitlin Hunt took the loss, allowing eight runs in three innings of work.

Carson Newman was led at the plate by Jessie Howard who was 4-4 with a double and two RBIs, while Stevens was 2-4 with two runs driven in. Stephanie Templeton picked up the win allowing just one run in five innings and striking out seven.
