Oklahoma And South Carolina Take Home Three College Sports Media Awards

CARLSBAD, Calif. - CBSSports.com College Network partners took home three awards out of 19 nominations at the College Sports Media Awards presented by Sports Video Group (SVG) and the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA). The awards were announced at the College Sports Video Summit in Atlanta on June 6. South Carolina walked away with one award in the "Collegiate Athletics" division, while also joining Oklahoma in winning one award in the "Collegiate Students" division. South Carolina's Gamecock Productions group won the Promotion, PSA, or Video Marketing Campaign category in both divisions with their video productions "It's Great To Be a Gamecock" and "Gamecock Softball Intro." Oklahoma's SoonerVision team took home the award for Live Game and Event Production for their beginning of game production during the Oklahoma vs. Kansas State game. South Carolina topped all nominees with six of the sixteen nominations by CBSSports.com College Network partners. Other schools earning multiple nominations include Mississippi, Oklahoma and Notre Dame. Now entering its fourth year, the 2012 College Sports Media Awards received over 200 entries in 16 categories that were separated into four divisions--National Networks and Professional, Regional Sports Networks and Local Cable Providers or TV Stations, Collegiate Athletics, and Collegiate Students. In providing a forum for innovative ideas, the College Sports Video Summit highlights the ability to create high quality video on any budget.
