Junior goalie Jerad Kaufmann had 34 saves against the University of Michigan but it was not enough to stop the No. 1 Wolverines from ending UNO's season with a 2-1 loss in game-two of the second round of Central Collegiate Hockey Association playoffs Saturday night at Yost Ice Arena.

The Mavericks finished the season 17-19-4 overall and 11-13-4 in the CCHA. Michigan moves on to the CCHA Semifinals in Detroit, Mich. at Joe Lewis Arena.

Brandon Naurato and Carl Hagelin each netted goals for Michigan in the first period at 3:14 and 18:57.

Junior forward Dan Charleston scored a power-play goal at 5:25 of the second period with helpers from sophomore forward JJ Koehler and freshman Alain Goulet.

At 6:30 of the second period a fight broke out on the ice resulting in 10 penalties for 42 minutes including the game disqualification of UM's Max Pacioretty and Mav freshman Nick Von Bokern.
