Farmington Hills, Mich. - Michigan shut out Clarkson, 2-0, in the East Regional to advance to the Frozen Four for an NCAA-best 23rd appearance. Notre Dame topped Michigan State, 3-1, in the West Regional for its first Frozen Four berth in program history. Miami advances to the Northeast Regional final after defeating Air Force, 3-2, in overtime. The RedHawks will face the Boston College at 4:30 p.m. Sunday.
At Albany, N.Y., the top-ranked University of Michigan Wolverines earned a spot in the NCAA Frozen Four with a 2-0 shutout of Clarkson in the East Regional final. Freshman forward Aaron Palushaj scored the game-winning goal while senior forward Kevin Porter notched an insurance tally. Michigan junior goaltender Billy Sauer made 27 saves in the win. The Wolverines will play Notre Dame in the NCAA semifinal round Thursday, April 10 in Denver, Colo.
At Colorado Springs, Colo., senior forward Mark Van Guilder scored the game-winning goal to lift the Notre Dame Fighting Irish to a 3-1 victory over the defending national champion Michigan State Spartans for its first Frozen Four berth in program history. ND junior forward Christan Hanson struck first to give the Irish a one-goal lead at 2:43 of the second frame. Spartan junior forward Justin Abdelkader tied it up at 9:05 of the second. Van Guilder struck at 14:06 of the third stanza for the winner while freshman defenseman Teddy Ruth netted an insurance marker at 15:20. ND junior goaltender Jordan Pearce made 20 saves for the win, while MSU junior goalie Jeff Lerg made 23 stops.

At Worcester, Mass., junior forward Justin Mercier scored an unassisted overtime goal to send the RedHawks to the Northeast Regional final at 15:21 of the extra frame. Miami jumped to a 1-0 lead 19 seconds into the game with a goal from freshman forward Tommy Wingels. Air Force struck for two second period markers from Derrick Burnett and Josh Print to take a one-goal lead into the third stanza. Freshman forward Carter Camper evened the score at 13:44 of the third with a power-play tally, sending the game to overtime. Miami junior goaltender Jeff Zatkoff made 23 saves in the victory, while Falcons sophomore netminder Andrew Volkening stopped 30 RedHawk shots.
