CUH MBB: Eleven in a Row! Swords Handle Pesky HPU 80-72

Honolulu, HI- They don't come easy. Chaminade roared out to a big lead early, but HPU competed and kept it relatively close throughout in a 80-72 CUH win. HPU took the lead in the opening minutes, but the Swords quickly gained it and did not relinquish it the rest of the night. Hayden Heiber and Marko Kolaric each had 20 points, while Rodrick Johnson added 19 in the win. The Swords had 22 assists to only 8 turnovers. Chaminade was cold from the arc, shooting 26% from three, but shot 48% from the floor and held HPU to 38% shooting. Jason Curtis led the way for the Sea Warriors with 28 points and 5 rebounds. Chaminade moves to 15-4, 10-0 with the win, HPU moves to 4-15, 1-9 with the loss. The Swords are back in action on Feb 3rd against HPU. Game time is set for 3:30 PM in McCabe Gym.
