Swords Shocked By HPU in OT 90-85
Feb. 22, 2007 Honolulu, HI- In a game that seesawed back and forth, Chaminade fell to the Sea Warriors of HPU by a score of 90-85 in OT. Chaminade fell behind early, trailing 38-32 at the break. The Swords rallied early in the second half, taking the lead just minutes in. The game proved to be tight down the stretch and was all knotted up at 73-73 at the end of regulation. HPU took control in overtime and finish the Swords, shooting 10-12 from the line in the extra period. Zack Whiting led Chaminade with 28 points. Ryan Hirata added 13 points, while Marko Kolaric had 10 points and 8 rebounds. Rishi Kakad led the Sea Warriors with 22 points in the win. With the loss, Chaminade falls to 14-11, HPU improves to 10-15 with the win. The two teams meet again tomorrow night at Mid-Pacific Institute. Game time is set for 7PM.
