Chaminade Stumbles Against Cal State Monterey Bay 80-77
Dec. 8, 2006 Rohnert Park, CA- In the first of two games at the Ron Logsdon Memorial Classic, Chaminade fell to CSU Monterey Bay 80-77. Chaminade fell behind early 11-0 and was down 44-33 at the half. CSU Monterey Bay was led by some hot 3 point shooting, making nine threes in the first half, two more than they had all year. The Swords fought back in the second half, and took the lead at the 4:53 mark 66-63. It was not enough however, as Monterey Bay made key baskets down the stretch to earn the victory. Chaminade was led by Zack Whiting with 16 points, 15 assists and 13 rebounds. Marko Kolaric scored 18 points and 7 rebounds in defeat. The Swords are back in action tomorrow to take on host Sonoma State at 7:30 PM. Chaminade falls to 3-4 on the year.
