Honolulu, HI- Chaminade is still in search for that first victory of the season. They came out tonight with that in mind but ended up losing in the end to the Seasiders of BYU Hawaii. CUH fell tonight 69 to 53. The Silverswords have 6 more games in the season to capture that elusive first win of the season.

Chaminade was led by seniors Marian Murphy and Katherine Carlisle. Combined the two scored 25 of the 52 posted points for the Silverswords; Murphy scored 15 points, she was 5 for 6 from behind the arc and Carlisle scored 10 and grabbed 4 boards in the loss. When asked about the game senior, Marian Murphy said, "I think we played hard tonight. We just always seem to have that 3-5 minute span where we cannot score and let the other team take a big lead. It's hard to come back from that." Katherine Carlisle shared her thoughts on the game, "We have the heart and the talent, we just lack consistency. No matter what the score, or the record, you'll never see this team give up!!"

BYU Hawaii was led by Agnes Tulievuka who scored 21points and also grabbed 11 boards for the Seasiders.

With the loss, the Silverswords fall to 0-19, 0-12 in the Pac West and BYU Hawaii improves to 4-14and 4-6 in the Pac West conference. The next game for CUH is on February 8th, the Silverswords travel to UH Hilo to face the Vulcans. Tip off is set for 5:30PM HT.
