WBB: Chaminade Concludes Season With a Loss To NDNU

March 2, 2008

Belmont, CA- Hall of Fame Basketball player, Michael Jordan once said, "I've missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed." CUH fought hard all season despite not being able to win a single game. The Silverswords tonight concluded their season with a loss to Notre Dame de Na Mur 82 to 60.

Senior Simrin Herrington (Simrin Cummins) scored 25 points in her final college game for Chaminade University. She also grabbed 9 boards for the Silverswords. Sophomore point guard, Samantha Saito scored 9 points, senior Marian Murphy scored 8 points and both Felicia Alves and Arielle Salvador scored 7 points.

All things considered CUH played well the first half, making 50% of their shots from the floor. Chaminade led at the break by a score of 36 to 35, CUH won the rebounding battle for the entire game, they grabbed 40 to NDU's 39.

The Silverswords record for the entire season was 0-24 overall and 0-17 in the Pacific West Conference, while Notre Dame de Na Mur improves their record to 13-13 overall and 13-5 in the Pacific West Conference. The team arrives back in the islands tomorrow.
