Waipahu, HI- CUH swept the University of Regina in an exhibition doubleheader. The Silverswords took both of the games via the mercy rule, winning the first game, 11 to 3 and the second game 14 to 3. Freshman Ashley Hopfe started the first game for Chaminade and despite giving up one homerun to the games third batter, she pitched a solid game and came way with the win for Chaminade, Carolyn Fisher also pitched a few innings of relief for the Silverswords in the first game. Chaminade wasted no time scoring runs as they scored three runs in the first inning, their runs game from clutch hitting from Carolyn Fisher who had a double, Brandi Sasaki who had a triple and Melissa Harris who had a single. This theme continued for the rest of the game, Chaminade dominated the Cougars of the University of Regina, Canada. The game ended in the bottom of the 6th inning with the Silverswords the victors as they were up 11 to 3. Kasy'e Lalau got the start in the second game for Chaminade. She continues to impress the CUH faithful and her teammates with her impressive command on the mound; she pitched the entire game and would have earned a victory had this not have been an exhibition match. The Silverswords trailed by one run in the bottom half of the first inning, they wasted little time getting that run back and in the process scored three more runs, leading at the end of 1 inning 4 to 1. Skye Virtudes started off with a bases loaded single, scoring senior captain Anina Quaranto from the third base. The next batter for Chaminade was Chasity Senas, she too came the plate with the bases loaded. She also hit a single and batted in a run for the Silverswords. Senior Captain, Iwalani Yamaguchi was up next. She kept the rally going with a 2 run single for Chaminade.
