WSB: Chaminade Swept By Hawaii Pacific

Waipahu, HI- The Silverswords took on Hawaii Pacific University today at COPRS field and lost both games of a double header match up. They lost the first game 5 to 1 and the second 5 to 0.

The Silverswords started out the first game giving up four runs in the Top of the firs inning giving up 4 runs, HPU would only score one more run, however their four runs in the first inning proved to be too much overcome and lost. At the end of two innings CUH trailed 5 to 0. They scored their one run on a single by Melissa Harris in bottom of the 4th inning. The loss is charged Kasy'e Lalau.

The Second game was a battle until the latter part of the game, the score at the end of 4 was HPU 1 and CUH 0. The Silverswords gave up two more runs in the fifth and two more runs in the sixth and couldn't fight back to score any runs, despite losing Chaminade never gave up in both games and ended up falling to cross town rival HPU today. The loss is charged to Chelsi Walls. Despite losing today in both games, CUH will take on HPU in another double header match up at CORPS field tomorrow afternoon, first pitch it set for 12PM HT.

With the loss the Silverswords fall to 9-28 overall and HPU improves their record to 32 and 5. Currently HPU is first in the conference and CUH is 6th. CUH has lost its last 14 games and remain confident that their current streak will end in tomorrow afternoon's battle with HPU at COPRS field.
