SEARCY, Ark.--Harding pitcher Michael Skinner tossed a five-hit complete game to carry the Bisons to a 6-1 Gulf South Conference West Division victory over the Christian Brothers University Bucs Saturday afternoon at Jerry Moore Field.

The Bisons (18-15, 3-5 GSC West) scored a run in the first, two in the fourth, and three in the fifth to build a 6-0 lead, and Skinner clamped down, holding the Bucs to one run on five hits and three walks.

Harding scored in the first inning as J.D. Glenn led off with a single. He stole second and later scored on a sacrifice fly. In the fourth, Tyler Thompson hit a one-out single and scored on a Bo Whitaker triple. Ryan Moody singled Whitaker home to give Harding a 3-0 lead.

The Bisons had five straight two-out hits in the fifth inning as they stretched their lead to 6-0.

The Bucs (13-18, 5-4) scored their lone run in the sixth inning as Mark Foster (Cordova, Tenn./Cordova HS) hit a leadoff single and scored on a Joseph Kaminski (Sherwood, Ark./Little Rock Catholic HS) single.

Kaminski continued his strong play with a 2-for-4 day, raising his batting average to .425. He entered the weekend eighth in the GSC in hitting.

The Bucs and Bisons meet again Sunday for a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m.
