Final Stats

MEMPHIS--Ouachita Baptist scored the last six points to take a 60-57 victory over the Christian Brothers University Bucs Thursday night in Gulf South Conference West Division action.

The Tigers (9-6, 2-2 GSC West) out-scored CBU (10-7, 2-2) 21-10 over the final 8:30 after the Bucs had taken a 47-39 lead on a three-pointer by senior forward Kevin Weybright (Cincinnati, Ohio/Wyoming HS).

Memo Rodriguez made a layup and a three-pointer back-to-back to answer Weybright's three, sparking the Tigers' 21-10 game-clinching run.

The Bucs held a 57-56 lead in the final minute, when Weybright fouled out with 43 seconds remaining when OBU's Rowan Ledbetter drew an offensive foul, which was ruled after the shot, giving Ledbetter two free throws, which he sank to provide the 10th and final lead change.

Junior center Nick Kohs (Cincinnati, Ohio/Lakota East HS) had a career night for the Bucs, scoring 22 points and grabbing a career-high 18 rebounds to go with five assists. Weybright scored 17, while senior guard Justin Ray (Cincinnati, Ohio/Oak Hills HS) and sophomore guard Kyle Couvion (Dayton, Ohio/Centerville HS) scored nine each.

Ed Keyes led the Tigers with 20 points, while Rodriguez and Antonio Benjamin scored 13 each.

The Bucs shot 47.8 percent (22-of-46) overall, including 50 percent (9-of-18) from three-point range. Ouachita shot 53.5 percent (23-of-43) overall, including 45.5 percent (5-of-11) from three-point range. The Bucs committed 16 turnovers while committing 11, while they out-rebounded Ouachita 26-23.

The Bucs will be back in action Saturday night as they visit Delta State at 6 p.m. The Bucs come home Thursday night, Jan, 31, for a 7 p.m. tip against Arkansas-Monticello.
