MEMPHIS--Christian Brothers University head basketball coach Mike Nienaber has announced the signing of guard Scott Dennis from Sycamore HS in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Dennis, a 6-4 guard, was a first-team All-Greater Miami Conference player at Sycamore and earned honorable mention All-City and All-Region honors. He was selected to play in the East-West All-Star game, and he scored 27 points to lead the East team to a 107-106 victory.

Dennis averaged 10.2 points per game and led the GMC with 3.1 steals per game. He ranked second in the league with 3.6 assists per game and third with 6.9 rebounds per game.

"Scott is a perfect fit for our system," Nienaber said. "He has point guard-type skills, he's long, he can shoot it, and I think he has a chance to come in and play significant minutes as a freshman. He was one of the top players in one of the top leagues in the state of Ohio."

Dennis also played for the Cincinnati Shining Stars AAU team along with fellow CBU signee Daniel Wulker of Cincinnati Moeller HS. Dennis and Wulker will continue the Bucs' pipeline to Cincinnati. Six members of CBU's Gulf South Conference Championship team this year hail from Cincinnati, including two players from the Greater Miami Conference, junior center Nick Kohs (Lakota East HS) and senior guard Justin Ray (Oak Hills HS).
